WE ISOLATE
EXPLORING SHARED LONLINESS
A visceral journey through the online world we live in and the architecture of human connection. The latest premiere from The Working Peoples Theatre.
ABOUT THE PLAY
WE ISOLATE is an original theatre project exploring loneliness, identity and the silent pressures shaping modern life.
Blending verbatim theatre, live sound, audience interaction and immersive storytelling, the piece collapses the distance between performer and audience, drawing viewers directly into the experience.
The work examines how isolation operates socially, digitally and internally, exploring the impact of technology on identity, connection and perception. It also considers how vulnerability and disconnection can shape belief systems, including pathways toward radicalisation and extremism, asking how individuals can become influenced, redirected or transformed by the environments around them.
Developed through real conversations and lived experience, WE ISOLATE gives voice to stories often left unspoken. In a world more connected than ever, why do so many of us feel alone, and what happens when that loneliness is amplified?
This is theatre that doesn’t observe isolation.
It places us inside it.
